Hyundai Steel
Hyundai Steel, a steel factory specialized in automotive materials, is heavily engaged in the development of next-generation steel for the future automotive industry. Since the groundbreaking ceremony of the Dangjin integrated steel plant in October 2006, the first and second blast furnaces were commissioned in January and November 2010, respectively. The completion of the third blast furnace in September 2013 enabled us to achieve a total production capacity of 24 million tons of crude steel, consisting of 12 million tons from blast furnaces and 12 million tons from electric arc furnaces, making us a comprehensive global steel producer. Additionally, in December 2013, we established a one-stop production system that integrates all production processes from raw materials to final products by merging with the cold rolling division of Hyundai Hysco.
