Backspill nozzles guarantee atomization without compressed air. The liquid is atomized into a thin hollow cone. A uniform and fine liquid atomization is achieved throughout the entire control range.
Best atomization without compressed air With the new generation RS II-3 nozzles, the D32 droplet size at 35 bar,g can be reduced to 85-130 µm at the operating points of the entire series. Various case studies of gas cooling towers have shown that the required evaporation distance can be reduced by up to 50% compared to conventional backspill nozzles.
Backflow nozzles are single-fluid nozzles that atomize liquid into a hollow cone shape. Compared to ordinary single-fluid nozzles, water is fed into the nozzle with a constant feed pressure (e.g. 35 bar) regardless of the atomized flow rate. The amount of liquid injected is adjusted via a control valve in the return line, so that some of the flow is removed from the inlet flow rate and returned to the tank. The maximum atomizing flow rate is reached with the control valve closed. Uniform and fine liquid atomization is achieved throughout the entire control range.
