Lechler provides spray heads for spray applications such as washing, pickling, acid spraying, rinsing and cooling, strip edge drying on strip and wire processing lines.
Typical rinsing heads of a steel strip pickling line made of PP and Lechler nozzles made of PVDF.
Self-cleaning Lechler STMM showers
Clogging-free operation thanks to the in-line cleaning brush assembly. With a simple turn of a manual or automatic handle, built-in brushes remove debris from self-aligning nozzles.
Typical applications are rinsing of strips and brushes, low or high pressure spray cleaning in pickling and galvanizing lines.
Lechler air mist headers for CAP lines
It is in the cold continuous annealing and pickling line where the strip process, which provides the metallurgical structure of stainless steel, is carried out.
At temperatures between 800 °C and 200 °C, recrystallization takes place in the furnace before the strip is cooled from the top and bottom by air blowing, conventional water spray cooling, and air mist spray cooling. Mostly it is a combination of these three methods. Varying steel grades and line speeds require specific cooling rates to prevent carbide precipitation at grain boundaries. The exclusive Lechler air vapor cooling head design provides exactly this. 1:10 water control ratio (pinch ratio), min. line speeds up to maximum. Large spray overlaps ensure uniform cooling across the entire strip width for optimum thermal uniformity across the strip.
