**TwinAbsorb and TwinAbsorbPRO**
Nozzles for wet flue gas desulfurization. The innovative technology of Lechler TwinAbsorb nozzles ensures effective flue gas cleaning and reliable SO₂ separation. Their enhanced efficiency, reduced operating costs, and low maintenance costs make TwinAbsorb nozzles the first choice for energy plant operators and operators of waste-to-energy plants with wet flue gas cleaning processes, both from process technology and economic perspectives.
The patented TwinAbsorbPRO series creates variable asymmetric spray patterns. This additional feature allows for the most efficient distribution of the lime suspension to the washer, meaning that the widest possible reaction surface is permanently available for the absorption process. Additionally, fixtures, wall areas, and pipelines can be much better protected against wear. In addition to the proven characteristics of the TwinAbsorb series, the spray cones tendency to create turbulence and rotate in the opposite direction promotes the desulfurization/absorption process through intense secondary atomization and higher differential speeds between the gas and spray environment. The now variable spray patterns also create more prerequisites for significant process engineering advantages while simultaneously reducing operating and maintenance costs.
Spray Angle: According to customer needs
All connection types possible: Flanged, laminated connection, round threaded, clamping connection
Version: Available as hollow or full cone nozzle
Version: Equilateral or bi-directional nozzle
Clogging resistance: Insensitive due to wide free cross-sections
Material version: SiC/SiSiC; TwinAbsorb nozzles are characterized by patented technology with either double hollow or double full cone, having only a single flow. By doubling the spray cone, nozzles achieve finer droplets (SMD D32) compared to single spray cone nozzles. TwinAbsorb nozzles not only excel in high volumetric production per nozzle but also bring additional process-related benefits while preserving the positive characteristics of standard tangential full or hollow cone nozzles:
- Improved material exchange due to higher relative velocities from the gas flow
- No additional vortex effects in the gas flow
- Supports a smoother gas distribution across the washer cross-section
- Reduced torque in pipelines
With the bi-directional TwinAbsorb, TAV and TAH nozzles, additional process-related advantages are gained from spray jets directed up and down with reverse vortex directions:
- Doubling of hydraulic spray levels compared to single-direction nozzles
- Reduced pressure loss when used in counterflow washers
- Increased retention time of droplets in the gas flow
- Increased turbulence in droplets for active material exchange
